"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laiden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30

I am in need of a different way of thinking. Ha! I guess we all have that need, eh? I know we all have aches and worries in our hearts. I know we have wounds from years ago that we'll think have been forgotten - until someone says something that reminds of of the memory that hurt us. Then the emotions come, and we can't stop crying or we can't unloosen the tight clenched fists.

If you were in a quiet moment with the Lord. If you were searching to find truth about these wounds and desiring peace. You are sitting in silence longing for the freedom that only He can bring.

And, in that silence you hear "Just live. Don't be afraid. Go where I am." And, the only vision you see is one of flowers. No people. No music. No animals (thank ya, Jesus!). Nothing but simple and beautiful flowers.

What would you think? What does He want? What are your thoughts when you hear those words?

I know my blog is a different tone than usual. Please don't worry. I'm not in a dark depression or suffering. I just hunger for truth about myself and my Maker.

Hope this blog doesn't wigg y'all out.

I love this post. No need to worry. I love that you are funny a lot...but it is truly beautiful to see deep into some one's heart. I'm sure you have even more layers I would be intrested in seeing.

okay now you are a celery stalker and an onion. I think I'll make some soup with you.

Now who's the creepy one?

You know my interest in dreams and visions and such. But just to think about this and how it could relate from God to you...
Amazing really, atleast in my mind it is.
Nothing but flowers, nothing else in the world there to destract you, only the beauty that God created. Thats the obvious, that perhaps God wants you to just enjoy His beauty, His simple but majestic beauty and Him alone, no body else, nothing else.
And then there is this, flowers are so fragile, for the wonderfully beautiful things to add such joy to peoples lives amazes me because the slightest breeze can hurt them. Yet, each time a storm comes and beats them down, you almost always see the sun come out and add that strength back to them, and they are still as beautiful as ever. They were able to get through the storm because they are under Gods protection, He takes care of them, He regenerates them and adds life to them. And oddly enough they only have one job in life, to be what God designed them to be. Maybe God is telling you to just simply be what He designed you to be and nothing else. And rely on him for regeneration and strength.

Love ya :)

i am SO not wigged out.

it's nice to hear the thoughts of someone else's heart... to be able to identify. to see that we're all in weird places in our walks and that we all yearn for that peace and contentment with Christ.

OOOHHH...I love "riddles" and stuff like this.

Well, people suck so we know why they aren't a part of a spiritual dream...almost every person we know can, if we are not stable, cause us stress in some form or fashion (either through fear of them damaging us, or through fear of what they might think of us if they are friendly)...

...music is too emotional to really be good for you in a time like this, because you don't need to be tossed around emotionally (even if it's a high...what you need is calm, and music does not equal calm - think about it)...

...and there aren't any animals because they don't have anything to do with anything. You are the type of person that doesn't really personalize animals like some do, thus they don't figure into your emotions as much.

Flowers...basically I think you just pictured what for you would be the most safe, peaceful, warm place you could imagine. Your mind/imagination (perhaps under the influence of the spirit) just pictured what for you would be a place free of stress, free of worry, free of the concern of being hurt...and served it up for you to use for whatever reason.

I think you are like me in that God uses my imagination to work on me. For example, when I had trust issues with my daughter and giving her over to God, I would spend time imagining visually me handing her over to God. I also find that I use pictures and illustrations a lot when I talk to explain myself...it's just how some people are.

All of this is probably total CRAP but still fun to analyze - either way I'm glad God is resolving wounds for you. Old hurts NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER just go away, no matter how much time passes. You have to deal with them in some fashion or continue to risk having them rip your insides apart.

Alli, no wigging out here either. The beauty of your uniqueness as a person created by God is in silliness and your depth. We all know it and love it! :) This time we get to see your heart and it's cool..that God is giving you something special. I think your hunk :) and Jeremy hit on my initial thoughts ... rest in the beauty of His simple creation ... even maybe take it as a concrete physical message specifically to you from Him that He loves you and He will keep you safe ... whenever you're struck by the beauty of flowers.

I don't have any ideas about what your vision means. I think Dean and Jeremy both have fabulous insightful thoughts on that. All I know is that to be in the presence of Jehovah is an awesome thing, and I praise God that you got to experience that in such a deep, profound way. Thank you for sharing that with me!
